ToggleFrom getting ready in Deptford to celebrating at The Marian House in Cherry Hill, NJ, every part of the day gave Noel and Justin time to be with the people they care about most. One thing they told us before the wedding was that candid photographs with parents, grandparents and guests mattered just as much as the traditional portraits.
Looking through their gallery, it’s easy to see why! Some of the strongest moments happened in between the scheduled events.
If you’ve been following their story, you’ll also love their Cape May Engagement Session, where they spent time together along the New Jersey beachtown before their wedding.

Yes! In New Jersey, a family member can officiate your wedding as long as they meet the state’s legal requirements. Many couples choose this option because it creates a more personal ceremony and allows someone who knows them well to play a meaningful role in the day.
For Noel and Justin, Noel’s father served as the officiant. It was one of the most special parts of the wedding because he wasn’t just leading the ceremony, he was standing beside his daughter during one of the biggest moments of her life! *cue all the tears*

Guests were watching someone who had known Noel her entire life share in that moment with her. It added a level of connection that made the ceremony feel incredibly personal for both the couple and their guests!

I personally think the best wedding timeline at The Marian House is one that allows enough time for portraits, family photos and time with guests without making the day feel rushed. For many couples, that means incorporating a first look before the ceremony so more photographs can be completed earlier in the day.
That’s exactly what Noel and Justin chose for their wedding. Their first look gave them private time together before the ceremony, allowed family portraits to happen before guests arrived and helped the rest of the evening flow more comfortably.

As a result, they spent less time moving from photo location to photo location and more time enjoying cocktail hour, talking with guests and being present throughout the celebration. One of the biggest advantages of The Marian House is that couples can move seamlessly from one part of the day to the next, making it easier to create a timeline that feels relaxed rather than rushed.
If you’re currently planning your own wedding, our guide on How to Plan an Effortless Wedding Day Timeline will help you build a schedule around your priorities instead of trying to fit everything into a timeline that feels overwhelming.
Many couples choose The Marian House because it allows the entire wedding day to take place in one location. Guests can move easily from the ceremony to cocktail hour and the reception without additional travel, creating a smoother experience for everyone involved.
One thing that stood out during Noel and Justin’s wedding was how connected guests felt to the energy throughout the day. There weren’t long breaks between events or periods where guests were left wondering what came next. Instead, the day flowed naturally from the ceremony into cocktail hour and then into the reception.

For couples planning a South Jersey wedding, The Marian House offers the convenience of a single-location venue while still providing plenty of flexibility to create a wedding day that reflects your priorities. That combination of convenience and guest experience is one of the biggest reasons so many couples choose to celebrate here.
The reception included blush pink and sage green florals, signature drinks featuring their dogs and a memory table dedicated to family members who continue to be an important part of their story.

I always encourage couples to think about details this way. Not as decorations, but as opportunities to include pieces of your actual life. Those choices often tell guests more about who you are than anything chosen simply because it’s popular.
Before the wedding, Noel and Justin made it clear that photographs with parents, grandparents and guests were some of their highest priorities.

While there are beautiful portraits throughout the day, many of the photographs that stand out most are the ones showing interactions between family members, conversations during cocktail hour and moments happening naturally throughout the reception.
Those are often the photographs that become more important and special as the years pass!
If you’re planning a wedding at The Marian House, choosing a photographer who understands your priorities is just as important as choosing a venue. While beautiful portraits matter, some of the most important photographs often happen in the in-between moments with parents, grandparents, friends and the people who helped shape your story.
That’s one of the reasons I loved Noel and Justin’s wedding so much! They cared so much about documenting their families and creating a day that felt relaxed, connected and true to who they are. Their timeline gave them space to be present, spend time with guests and enjoy the experience instead of feeling rushed from one event to the next.
