One of the things that worked especially well about Saxbys Haddonfield was its large windows and indoor seating areas. It gave Jessica and Joey an opportunity to settle into the session while staying dry before we headed outside to explore downtown.

Once the rain eased up, we walked through Haddonfield together and took advantage of the cobblestone sidewalks, storefronts and laidback streets that make this area so popular for engagement photos.

One of my favorite parts of this session was how closely it reflected the way Jessica and Joey actually spend time together. The Benefits of Staying Flexible

One thing engagement sessions constantly remind me is that we can’t control the weather or every circumstance that comes our way. Sometimes the location changes, sometimes the timing shifts and sometimes the plan you spent weeks imagining looks a little different when the day actually arrives.

Jessica and Joey’s session was a great example of that!

The rain changed our original plans, but it also led us to a location that felt even more like them. We experienced something similar during Noel and Justin’s Cape May engagement session when a race happened to be taking place at the exact time and location we’d planned to use. In both cases, a little flexibility opened the door to something we never would have planned for. (parking was not fun, but we made it work!)
